The Fountain review

Posted : 12 years, 11 months ago on 3 June 2011 03:41 (A review of The Fountain)

Aw man. I just finished this movie and I don't know what hit me. I love it. It was so confusing. And weird. And amazing. And a visual phenomenon. And the music...fantastic.

Going Bovine review

Posted : 13 years ago on 15 April 2011 04:04 (A review of Going Bovine)

Going Bovine is one of the greatest, weirdest, trippiest, unpredictable, most fantastic book I have ever read. Libba Bray... how do you do it? Your books never cease to amaze me. They're so different from each other too! You color outside of the lines.

Going Bovine in one is this: ADVENTURE.

Dash & Lily's Book of Dares review

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 11 January 2011 12:32 (A review of Dash & Lily's Book of Dares)

What impressed me the most about this book was how REAL the characters were. And I loved every single one of them: Dash, Lily, Boomer, and Lily's family. Boomer was probably my favorite...I wish I had a friend like him.

Unthinkable review

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 10 January 2011 04:26 (A review of Unthinkable)

I loved the idea. The characters were so REAL and BELIEVABLE...which is rare in this day and age. My only problem was the ending. I get that the purpose was to leave you hanging but it was still missing something. Inception left you guessing also but I felt like it was complete. Not with this one, however, I was expecting at least another 2o minutes more in the film.

House M.D. review

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 18 December 2010 10:24 (A review of House M.D.)

Dr. House is so great because he is someone everyone can look at and think, "damn, I wish I had the guts to say that out loud."

The show itself wouldn't be the same without Hugh Laurie and I can't think of a single actor that would do as great of a job than he does.

Fight Club review

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 18 December 2010 09:12 (A review of Fight Club)

Fight Club- One of the most talked-about movies of all time. Even though all of you who have seen it know the first rule about fight club is not talk about fight club. :p One time I started talking about it and my friend actually yelled at me, "The first rule about fight club is not to talk about fight club!"

That's how intense this film is. Watch it. It's artistically crafted into the perfect story- something we all can relate to. We all need to take out our anger sometimes...and in the end we find out we are all a little crazy.

The Truth about Forever (Teen's Top 10 (Awards)) review

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 16 December 2010 05:39 (A review of The Truth about Forever (Teen's Top 10 (Awards)))

This. book. cannot. be. described. in. words. You must read it. No matter what age you are.

I used to hate reading, but then I picked up this book and it all changed from there. I've read it at least 30 times front to back ( no lie), and I will read it several more times I am sure.

Wes is my ideal male character. I wish he was real.
Read it. Loooove it :]

SLC Punk review

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 14 December 2010 05:09 (A review of SLC Punk)

Matthew Lillard is one of the most under-rated actors of all time (in my opinion of course:)

What's so great about him is his variety. He's convincing no matter if he is playing a psychotic (spelling?) serial killer in Wes Craven's Scream, a talking dog's best friend in Scooby Doo, or a Punk Poser in the middle of Utah NO WHERE.

Here's why I love SLC Punk!- Matthew Lillard.
I especially enjoy the scene where he tells his parents to "Fuck You",

The whole film is artistic to say the least.
The plot is completely ironic.
ME? I am a fan of irony.

Heroine Bob- the man who has never taken drugs in his whole like dies of what? DRUGS.

Stevo devotes his entire teenage existance dedicated to "Anarchy" and staying away from the life his father has planned. All he ever talks about is posers. And what does he say at the end? You will have to watch to find out. I don't wanna completely spoil it for you,

Watch. Don't think. Don't judge. Just watch and maybe you will learn something.

And I will leave you with this quote:

"What do you do when your foundation falls apart?"
"I don't know they don't teach you that in school."

Kill Bill: Vol. 2 review

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 14 December 2010 04:54 (A review of Kill Bill: Vol. 2)

Many things can be said about Kill Bill Vol. 2 or even Quentin Tarantino in general. First of all, that man is a genius.

Secondly, not many people know that Kill Bill Volume 1&2 are actually 1 film and not two separate ones. I REPEAT: KILL BILL VOL.2 IS NOT A SEQUEL.

This is important to consider when comparing it to the first film.
It should be noted that Volume 1 is the QUESTIONS,
and Vol. 2 is the ANSWERS.

Here's the thing about Quentin Tarantino- You either think he's a genius, or you think he's a freak.

You either love him or you hate him. I happen to love him. Is he a freak? Yes. But that's why Kill Bill is so special. It is its CREATIVITY.

They actually used more gallons of blood filming Kill Bill than any other movie they had before( a large part of that coming from the fountain of blood or the pool of blood).

OKAY, so short and simple. Do you like movies that are a little bit out there? Do you like girl power? Do you like samurai and western style films? Do you wanna learn the five point palm exploding heart technique ( too bad, Pai Mai teaches no one:P, jkjk lol) ? Then
WATCH KILL BILL.

AND REMEMBER VOL 2 IS NOT A SEQUEL!
Go forth and prosper :]

The Box review

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 14 December 2010 04:36 (A review of The Box)

This movie makes my top 5 worst movies. The acting is absolutely terrible. The film is too long. Cameron Diaz' accent is a fail. The story line/plot is I thumbs down. And when you think the movie couldn't get any worse, it does and all of a sudden the movie turns supernatural and it leaves you stunned and you wonder to yourself, "what the hell."
Then you turn it off because you cannot bear to watch another minute.
